Gold Coins

At Cash for Gold Mailer, we’re expects in gold coins. With gold prices increasing over the past couple decades, the intrinsic value of gold coins has far outpaced their face value, so in most cases, the value of your gold coin is worth the equivalent of its gold contents. This is because they are minted with very high purities – normally 24k or sometimes 22k. That means their value adds up fast!

We’re also experts on collectible gold coins, so we’ll check them for rarity to see if we can sell them for more on the collector market before making you an offer. Gold coins, like gold bullion, are purchased at 95% of their intrinsic value. We pay so much before they are investment-grade and don’t need to be melted down an recast.

If you think you have gold coins you can sell us, don’t hesitate to contact us as we are so eager to buy gold coins including sovereigns. Whether you have a single coin or several, perfect mint state or only fit for scrap, we will be interested in buying your coins at competitive prices.

sell gold coins

Selling gold coins or rare gold coins to us tends to be some of the biggest checks we right! We will buy any quantity of gold coins, from a single piece upwards. If you have a large quantity of gold coins to sell, we’ll insure your FedEx shipment to us up to the value of the shipment to ensure a risk-free transaction.

Here are a few common types of gold coins:

American Eagle Gold Coins (you can read about their history here)

Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins

In 2024, US Mint recently announced the launch of the Harriet Tubman Gold Coin. This will also be collector and investment-grade coins that we will buy at 95% of intrinsic value.

This isn’t an exhaustive list of gold coins. Many countries including Australia and South Africa also release gold coins, but as we only buy from the US not very many of those come through our shop. The American Eagle and Canadian Maple Leafs remain the most popular gold coins.
