Silver Flatware

Sell Silver Flatware

Old silver flatware – if we’re feeling kind we might call it “vintage” or “antique” silverware instead – is very popular to sell. It’s one of those things, along with fine china and furniture, that is often passed down from generation to generation. The fact of that matter is, unless it has special nostalgic value or is uniquely collectible, most of it really isn’t something people want to keep around.

For that reason, we end up buying a lot of old silver flatware. Most of it isn’t collectible, so it doesn’t really classify as antique or vintage goods unless it’s rare or made by a premium manufacturer (which it rarely is, but we’ll tell you if it is). The good news is that most of this old dinnerware is made of pure silver. While not nearly as nice as gold, its value has increased over the years to the point where a collection of silver flatware is certainly worth selling.

We buy all types of sterling silverware, from the finest contemporary silverware sets to rare antique spoons, forks, knives, sterling silver tea and coffee sets, candlesticks, cocktail shakers, goblets, mugs, tureens, candelabras, baskets, trays, dinner plates, water pitchers, and more.

If you have a lot of old silverware, it may not fit in one of our standard envelopes. But not to worry! We can provide you with a free FedEx label that can be put on a box provided by FedEx, or you can prepare it in your own packaging before fixing our label to it. Even if we’re melting it down, it’s always a good idea to pad it well so it isn’t clanking around during shipment.

Read on to see how to request a free label and get paid for your silver (and any gold you have) fast!

How it works

The steps below will help you understand how you can sell your silver flatware to us quickly, easily, and fully-insured.

1) Request a label or pack

The first step towards redeeming your silver value is to prepare your Mailer. If you request a mailer, we’ll send you a Cash for Gold Mailer through the mail, complete with a prepaid FedEx shipping label. Preparing your mailer couldn’t be easier.

If the mailer is not big enough, you can use a box at your nearest FedEx location or if you already have a package you can mail your jewelry in, simply request a free, prepaid FedEx mailing label that you can print instantly and attach to your package.

Whichever method you choose, you’ll receive a tracking number that will allow you to track your package online and monitor the offer process.

2) Gather your valuables and mail them

Once you’ve got your prepaid mailing label and package, you’ll need to gather up the jewelry and valuables you’re interested in a price on, securely package them, and then ship your mailer in the most convenient FedEx location. Since it’s prepaid and insured, you’ll simply need to put it in the dropbox or hand it to the shipping attendant.

3) Accept or reject your offer online

When your package arrives at our facility, we’ll analyze and test its contents, determine what we can offer for each piece, and post our offer to your secure account area on our website. You’ll be notified via e-mail when that offer appears, and you can review it to accept or reject our offer instantly.

If you accept the offer, your payment will be sent in less than 24 hours via your preferred payment method. We can pay instantly online via Paypal, or send a check through the mail if you prefer.
If you reject the offer, we’ll package up your jewelry and valuables and mail them back safely via FedEx at absolutely no charge to you
